You need to purchase the correct flap in order to fully repair your door. This can be difficult if your door is many years old and you no longer have the model or make information on hand.

How to Identify Your Flap

» Check how the flap attaches to the frame at the top
» Read the logo to see the manufacturer
» Note the material of the flap - rigid or flexible? Clear?
» Look at the bottom to see the type of magnet

Please be certain before ordering that you are purchasing your replacement flap in the proper size dimensions. You can find your flap size by comparing the dimensions of your pet door flap to size chart on each replacement flap product page.

Please note that the flap size measurement—the opening actually available to the pet—is usually a little smaller than the complete flap dimension as there will usually be space at the top of the flap to attach it to the pet door frame. Also, if you have the correct brand, don't worry about the dimensions being slightly off. It's common for customers to measure slightly differently from us.

    Luckily, you don’t need to buy a new clip to fix the issue. Instead, you can follow these quick and easy steps:

    1. Adjust the magnets so that they are back in place. You can use this video to guide you through the process.
    2. Test that the magnets are properly lined up and that the bottom of the flap magnetizes to the threshold.
    3. Apply a bead of silicon along the top edge of the retainer clip on both sides of the flap.

    The bead of silicon will hold the retainer clip in place and prevent your pets from pulling it off again.
